Jeff Lacy
Partner
Jeff Lacy is a Partner at Greenman, Lacy, Klein, Hinds, Weiser, where he has practiced since 2005. He has an Avvo “Superb” 10.0 rating and a “Rising Star” award from SuperLawyers.
Previous clients in San Diego, California, have appreciated his careful handling of emotional matters related to family law. From complex custody issues to simple agreements, Mr. Lacy has extensive experience in all aspects of family law and has handled hundreds of cases with varying issues and concerns.
Mr. Lacy has had a long record of involvement with local and statewide legal organizations. Mr. Lacy served as the youngest President ever of the North County Bar Association in 2013, after serving on the Board for three years. He also previously served as the Chair of the North County Bar Association Conference of Delegates and continues to participate as a Barrister for the American Inns of Court.
After years of service on the Board of Directors, he became the statewide chair of the Conference of California Bar Associations in 2020. He navigated the century old organization through the pandemic, facilitating the first ever virtual version of the normally in person annual Conference. This included him personally arranging a recording with the California Chief Justice, and scheduling the virtual swearing in by an Associate Supreme Court Justice.
Through the CCBA he has met key legislative and judicial players in California over the past two decades, personally discussing the California court system with them, and in particular the operation of the family courts from the perspective and experience of a practitioner with real clients that have real problems.
Mr. Lacy earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California San Diego before earning a Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law. Areas of practice include legal separation, property division, restraining orders, domestic violence, child support and custody, and divorce. While his goal is always to settle amicably, he is fully prepared to represent his clients in court, and has in the past represented unavailable or deployed military persons under the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act after being appointed by the court.
